just the sweetest little place. my partner and i spent the weekend for a mini honeymoon, and the starlite was the perfect choice. i think we were the only people on site (it IS winter in the hudson valley, after all) but we felt very cozy and secure. Alix was easily reachable by text and even hand delivered some adorable merch right to our door. baked goods in the morning, too! thoughtfully designed and comfortably kitschy, we loved the starlite and will most certainly be back in the summer to enjoy cocktails and the on-site pool!
Very cute retro updated motel. Clean rooms and clean pool. Privately owned. Stayed here when we went to a wedding and was very pleasantly surprised good vibes. Hammocks in the back and BBQs and ping pong outside near the pool
Exceeded our expectations. The service is top notch, they brought us pastries every weekend morning and that was a great touch. Cocktail club on Fridays is a must. Great pool. Go to STARL*TE!!
This is not your standard motel. It's an incredibly lovely and wonderful place to stay. This Motel is extremely clean and unique. Sauna Cold plunges Full sized pool Hammocks Grills And more! To note: In town for a wedding and the Taxi services are not very reliable. We were going to miss the ceremony and one of the owners (Alex) personally drove us so we wouldn't have to.
Yet another 5-star review for the Starlite Motel! This was our second stay and it was as magical as the first. Alix has a special touch for hospitality; she is a true talent at every aspect including fostering a sense of welcome. The pool is perfect, the rooms are perfect, the cocktails are perfect, the dining pop-ups are perfect... The list goes on. Thank you, Alix and team!
Our family has stayed at Starlite twice and both times were absolutely wonderful! We just spent a magical Memorial Day weekend there in a double queen corner room and the camper, a perfect little retreat in the back of the motel with your own lounge/outdoor hangout area that doubled as a soccer pitch for our 11 year old! The pool was perfect for a dip after an epic and beautiful hike in nearby Minnewaska. Alix and team take care of us as if we were friends visiting for the weekend. The vibe is so special. We will be back!
We stayed here for a wedding that was hosted at the motel and it was so much fun. The Starlite has been thoughtfully restored and has some great amenities including the pool with a movie screen all the way down to the custom soaps. Just overall a great experience. Alix, the owner, is super helpful and responsive. We would totally come back to stay here again!
Starlite is thee best motel I've ever stayed in. We got there on a Friday afternoon and they were hosting a cocktail night with a pop-up tent serving oysters and lobster rolls. It's located in a convenient spot where you're pretty much 8-10 minutes away from everything. The property and room was accommodating, clean and communication from hotel management was excellent (big thanks to Alix!)
If you have 16 friends that want to get away together, booking every room at this neat, chic revamped roadside motel is a great time. We almost all had kids with us and they never wanted to leave. The pool was clean and exactly the right temperature. I had a muffin waiting for me every day when I woke up. We spent a lovely shady hour in a hammock half-napping as the lightning bugs began to appear. This place crossed off everything on my Upstate Summer Bingo Card. Mgmt was responsive yet unobtrusive, and took care of us patiently as we made several classic guest goof-ups like living ourselves out or forgetting our phone. Highly recommend, a prefect home base when exploring the area.
We had such a wonderful stay at Starlite! It was the perfect summer getaway from NYC for our family. We arrived on Friday and were immediately charmed by the adorable, immaculate room, the Adirondack chairs on the back patio and the vibe outside with Catskills Cocktail Club + various food vendors. There’s no shortage of gorgeous hikes and delicious restaurants, all a short (few minutes) drive away. And when you get back to the motel and want to relax, the pool is just steps away. Alix was a super responsive and gracious host. There’s even delicious pastries in the morning on the weekends! We’re already talking about coming back to Starlite this fall. I can’t wait to return and I’m telling all my friends about this gem of a place. Other points to note - we brought our doodle and the property was very pet friendly (for a fee). We also have a one year old and our pack and play fit nicely in the corner of the king room.
